Golivestock has made it easy for farmers to create and manage a bull semen classified. The entire process is done online by the seller. All you need to do is register for an account and click the start selling link. We have put together some useful tips and suggestions on how to promote your bull semen classified and to generate sales.
Farm Name and Logo
Always include your farm name and include a logo. This will help buyers identify your farm and help build your brand. To add your farm name and logo click on the my account icon and then click on the personal tab. Once there, scroll to the section called company or farm details. Don’t forget to click save once you have added your name and uploaded your logo.
Photo
Include a photo of your bull if you have one. This is pretty self explanatory, but it will help the buyer visualize your sire.
Description
Provide a detailed description of your bull. Include any strong EPD traits your sire may have and include the EPD values. Mention if one of the EPD traits is highly above or below an EPD average for your breed. Describe any traits you have seen or observed and also include the names of any well known lineage your sire may share. The description of your sire is very important for potential buyers. The more information and details you can provide the better.
Enter EPD Traits
Enter in the EPD’s traits of your bull. We know this is time consuming, especially if you are listing angus bull semen, however it is worth it. We provide a powerful EPD filters for our buyers. They can filter for any EPD either being greater than or less than a certain value. This helps buyers when making a bull semen purchase.
Check Your Listing
Double check your listing to see if there are any errors. Once you have clicked on the start selling button your bull semen classified will be listed straight away. You will also be re-directed to the items listed for sale tab. Click on the view button to see what your listing looks like. This is the same page that potential buyers will see. Give the listing a glance over to see if the information is correct. Check if the uploaded image is correct along with your farm name and logo. One important thing to check is the breed associations registration number. If you need to make any edits, head back over to the items listed for sales tab and click the edit button. Don’t forget to click save once you have made the required edits.
Social Media
Social media plays an enormous part in today’s marketing strategies and is an excellent way to help spread the word about your bull semen classified. Use the social media icons located on the top right corner of the listing page. We provide a Facebook share and a like and a Twitter tweet buttons. The Facebooks likes and share and the Twitter tweets will go to your listing page. It will not be a link to our homepage. This way users have direct access to your listings page from either Facebook or Twitter. We will also do our best to promote your bull semen listing. You will periodically see it show on one of our social media channels.
